Yum beef vindaloo

Beef Vindaloo is a dish that is from Goan cuisine.
Vindaloo can be prepared, using beef, duck, mutton, pork etc. For the preparation of beef vindaloo, it is good to choose beef with fat content so much.
This, below specified recipe is for 1 kg beef.


Beef- 1 Kg

Turmeric powder- 3/4 teaspoon
Kashmiri chili powder- 2 tablespoon
Chili powder- 2 teaspoon
Garlic- 1 full, minced
Ginger- 1 big piece, minced
Tomato- 1-2 big ,ripe
Salt- to taste
Vinegar- as required
Oil- as required, here I have used coconut oil

To grind:

Mustard seeds-2 tablespoon
Cumin seeds- 1 tablespoon
Cloves- 4-5
Cinnamon-2 inches, big pieces
Pepper -1 tablespoon


Powder all the masala specified under- to grind , using a mixer grinder.
Make a  masala paste with chili powder, Kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, powdered masala, and vinegar.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add the prepared masala paste to it.
Saute it for a few minutes till the oil starts appearing.
Add sliced onions, minced ginger & garlic, sliced green chilies. 
Then add sliced tomato.
Then add cleaned and properly washed beef pieces, and salt to taste into it.
Pressure cook beef with 1/4 cup of water.
Cooking time may vary. Normally, it will take 20- 25 minutes on a medium flame.
Finally, check its salt level and add more if required.
Add vinegar (I have added 3/4 to 1 tsp)as per required consistency.
