Kerala style Egg Curry Without Coconut Milk



                                                            Yum Kerala style Egg Curry

                                     Kerala style mutta /Egg curry is prepared with/ without coconut milk.

                     It is the best side dish for chappathi/roti/Rice/Puttu etc. It is one of the simple 

       recipes.  It is made with boiled eggs,and masala like red chili powder, coriander powder, etc.

Kerala Style Egg curry without coconut milk

                                                                             Preparation Time:20 minutes

                                            Serves: 4



Onion -2 medium-sized

Ginger –crushed- 1 tsp

Garlic- crushed- 1 tsp

Green chili-2-3

Tomato- 2 medium-sized

Potato-2 sliced into cubes-medium sized

Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp

Chili powder- 1 tsp

Coriander powder- ¾ tsp

Cinnamon- 1” piece


Pepper-3/4 tsp

Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp

Salt – to taste

Coconut oil

Water- warm


Boil and peel eggs.

Grind the ingredients: cinnamon, clove, pepper, Fennel seeds.

Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onion and green chilies to it.

Saute it till it reaches a golden brown color.

Add to it crushed ginger and crushed garlic.

Saute it occasionally.

Add sliced tomatoes, and saute it again.

To it add chili powder, turmeric powder, ground masala, and coriander powder.

Saute it over low flame for a few minutes.

Add warm water, and salt to taste.

Bring it to boil.

Add sliced potato and slitted eggs.

Cook on a low flame till it is done.

Serve hot.
