Chicken Saute Indian Style
Ingredients
Chicken- 1
Kashmiri Chili powder- 1 - 1 1/2 tsp
Chili powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Peppercorns- 3/4 tsp
Cinnamon- 1-inch piece
Cloves-5-6
Fennel seeds- 3/4 tsp
Ginger and garlic crushed-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Vinegar- 3/4tsp
Onion- sliced - 2
Tomato- 2 medium-sized
Method
Powder all masala using a grinder. Add red chili powder and Kashmiri chili powder to it.
Make a smooth paste with vinegar and salt to taste.
Marinate the chicken pieces with half of the prepared masala and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onion and green chili.
Saute till onion turns golden brown.
Add crushed ginger and garlic and sliced tomatoes. Saute again nicely.
Add the prepared masala and mix everything nicely.
Add the marinated chicken to it.
Note: You can also add chicken after frying it lightly
Add one cup of warm water to it.
Mix everything nicely and close the pan with a lid.
Cook till the chicken gently till tender.
Serve it.
