Nadan Chicken Pal curry / Chicken curry with Coconut milk


Nadan Chicken Pal curry


Chicken - 750 gms
Thick Coconut Milk-1 cup
Thin coconut milk- 1 1/2 cup
Tomato - 1 medium-sized
Ginger - a medium-size piece
Garlic-  4-5
Green chilli-2
Onion- 2 medium-sized
Salt to taste
Vinegar- 3/4 tsp
Coconut oil

Masala Used:

Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder- 1 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon- a medium-size piece
Cloves - 4-5
Cardamom- 3
Fennel seeds- 3/4 tbsp


Cut onion into straight pieces.
Prepare the masala by making cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and fennel seeds.
Heat oil in a pan, add onion pieces, and green chilies. Saute everything till onion becomes golden brown color.
Then add ginger- garlic paste.
Saute again for a  few minutes.
Add tomato pieces and saute again for a few minutes.
Add the prepared masala and mix everything nicely.
Saute it for a few minutes.
Add chicken pieces and salt to taste
Add thin coconut milk .
When it starts boiling, add  potato pieces.
Close the pan with a lid. On a medium flame, cook till it is done.
Add thick coconut milk and bring to a boil. Finally, add vinegar.
Serve it with Rice/Chappathi.
