Kerala style Samosa
Make the Samosa dough:
Maida- 2 cups
Refined oil-2 tsp
Salt
Mix these three ingredients with water.
And knead the mixture nicely, just like making chapati dough.
Keep it aside for 1 hour.
Make the samosa filling:
Onion - 2
Green chilli-6
Ginger- a small piece
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Carrots- 150 gms
Beans- 100 gms
Green peas
Potato- 2
Cabbage- a small size
Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onion, ginger, green chili, curry leaves, coriander leaves. Saute everything nicely for a few minutes. Add sliced carrots and green peas. Saute again nicely.
Add turmeric powder, meat masala, and salt. Mix everything nicely.
Add cabbage and saute again for a 2minutes and close the pan with a lid, and cook till it is done. To it add the cooked potato and pepper powder, mix everything nicely. Remove from flame.
Final preparation:
Take samosa dough. By rolling the dough make oval shapes.
Heat a pan, keep this oval-shaped dough for a few seconds.
Join the edge to make a cone. Fill the cone-shaped dough with the prepared potato filling.
Using maida paste, seal the edges of the cone.
Heat oil in a pan, add the cone-shaped samosa to it and fry it.
Serve it.
